Dr. Douglas M. Coldwell is a board certified interventional radiologist with 25 years of experience. He is a Fellow of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the American Heart Association, and the prestigious American College of Radiology. It should be noted that less than ten percent of all radiologists are named as Fellows of any of these organizations, much less all three. Dr. Coldwell received his undergraduate and doctorate degrees in Physics from Rice University in Houston, TX and his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. He did his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Pennsylvania State University Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA followed by a return to Texas to perform his fellowship in Cancer Interventional Radiology at the famous M.D. Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute, the University of Texas System Cancer Center. Since that time, he has been on a number of university faculties, been the director of Interventional Radiology at the Universities of Washington, Maryland, and Mississippi, and founded this practice. He has treated hundreds of patients with this therapy and is an internationally known author, proctor, and lecturer on the subject, a treatment that he pioneered and helped establish.
